during my “wake-up-and-check-my-emails-and-such” routine Maggi asked me if I wanted to meet him and eat with Svavar and him, Maggi picked me up 15 minutes or so later, he was hungover as fuck, but Svavar was fresh as a duck.

Höski waited for us at Hamborgarafabrikkan, Maggi encouraged me to order the same as he did, this burger called Forsetinn, but instead of the meat, there is a portobello mushroom. I just started eating mushrooms two years ago, so I’m not used to them. The burger was good, but I think it would be better with meat,

After that I went to KEX hostel to meet two friends of mine, we had something to discuss, that was, what to do this summer, we are making huge plans.

Then I walked home, hung out for an hour or so, then I went to the Lesbo-house, because me and Dísa try to watch a movie once a week or so (there are soooo many movies we’ve missed out), tonight’s movie was Sleepless in Seattle, it was pretty nice. Kristjana watched it with us. Right before the movie ended, Júlíana came home, after the movie we had a little Eurovision party! yaaaahooooooo!

Saturday.

Filip contacted me and asked if I wanted to meet him. So I walked downtown, and decided to take some pictures on my way.

We met at Lækjartorg, at that time Kaktuz called me and asked us if we wanted to eat hamburgers with him in a hour or so, so me and Filip sat down at a Café called Stofan meanwhile. On our way there we saw a group of people playing some kind of dodgeball on Ingólfstorg.

Kaktuz hadn’t seen Filip for a really long time. We were 5 eating together at this burger joint called Hamborgarasmiðjan. Me, Filip, Kaktuz, Erna Líf and Andri, they were all fresh

Today was allright, I spent the first half by hanging out and studying.

Then I watched hockey, and during the first intermission I drove to Pizza King to get me a pizza, Júlíana had a pizza as well.

After the hockey match I picked up Alexandra so she could go to the MVNVMVNTS/DREKKA/CANID show, we caught the last couple of minutes of MVNVMVNTS.

There you can see a picture of MVNVMVNTS and one picture of Drekka, I forgot to take a picture of Canid, I was too busy listening to his music

Me and my co-worker, Sandra, went on a mission today to get me some nice(r) clothes.

I didn’t take pictures of that process, but instead you can see what I had for lunch, a picture of the guy who cooked the meal (he was a teenager at my youth center, but now he’s to old), Sandra browsing records that Biggi í Maus was selling, and Sanda browsing through clothes and stuff my now ex-boss was selling at the flea market. She is selling her stuff because she is moving to Norway on Monday, I will miss her.

And the last picture is a picture of the 7” records I bought today from Biggi í Maus.

1. ICY - Gleðibankinn (autographed), Gleðibankinn was the first song Iceland sent to the Eurovision song contest, in 1986.

2. Purrkur Pilnikk - No Time to Think.. Purrkur Pillnikk is in my opinion the best band from the 80’s in Iceland, awesome new-wave-punk-something mixture, the cover is pretty damaged, but the record itself is in OK condition. It’s pretty rare

3 - 4. The Jesus and Mary Chain singles.

I paid 2000 krónur for these records ($16)

I didn’t really do anything today, woke up veeeery late, then went to the local bar, becuase I had organized a hockey night there. We watched the winter classic game, between New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers. Pretty fun game to watch. It was also a plus that around 20 people showed up just to watch hockey. The kitchen was also open, so I ordered a delicious burger.

After that I got home, me and my flatmate fried some veg burgers. I have to go to sleep soon because I have to work “early” tomorrow (I start at 2PM)
